Demonstration held

NEW DELHI: The Kashmiri Samiti Delhi held a “candle light demonstration” at Jantar Mantar here on Sunday to observe the 18th anniversary of the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their homeland.

According to the Samiti, this anniversary denoted the failure of the Government both at the State and the Central level to protect their citizens. “The continuing exodus had severely affected the community psyche and seriously endangered its identity and cultural roots,” said Kashmiri Samiti (Delhi) president L.N. Dhar.
