Missing from Gwalior since Friday His car found in Dholpur, Rajasthan Bhopal/Jaipur: A senior executive of pharma major Nicholas Piramal who went missing along with his driver on Friday is suspected to have been abducted with his blood-stained car being found in Rajasthan’s Dholpur town. Ashwani Bhat, president (manufacturing) went to Gwalior from Indore to attend the Madhya Pradesh Exportech meet 2008, gave a presentation there around noon on Friday and has since not been seen, police and Piramal top officials said on Sunday. A pair of shoes and a newspaper was found in the car -- a Toyota Corolla bearing the number plate MP 09 CB 9750 -- and forensic experts were examining it to see whether they belong to Bhat, Dholpur Superintendent of Police Devendra Singh said. However there was no one inside the sedan abandoned by some unidentified men on National Highway 3 near the main bus stand, he said. He said a police team with forensic experts from MP had reached the town to “collect blood samples” that have stained the seat and other parts of the car. Bhat, a resident of Indore, had informed his family he would be back on Friday night and after it was found that the mobile phones of the executive and his driver were switched off, company officials informed police. “We are all concerned about Bhat’s status and are working with the police to trace him,” Company Director (strategic alliances and communications) Swati A Piramal said in Mumbai. “Since a human life is involved here, we don’t want too much publicity. His interests may get harmed.” PTI
