Subsidised cement ready for sale

ARIYALUR: The district administration has made arrangements for the sale of cement at fair prices from Monday (January 21).

100 tonnes for each taluk

The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation has procured 1,115 tonnes of cement towards the monthly stock for January and has moved 100 tonnes to each taluk godowns in Ariyalur, Sendurai and Jayamkondam to meet emergency needs.

In a press release issued here on Sunday, the District Collector V. M. Xavier Chrisso Nayagam said that the price per bag would be Rs.200 and those belonging to economically weaker sections and middle-income group constructing buildings up to 1,000 sq. feet can avail themselves of the scheme.

Allotment

The allotment would be made only for those who had obtained permission for building on or after July 1, 2007.
