Two killed in road accidents

MANGALORE: Two pedestrians have died in separate road accidents here on Saturday.

One unidentified man, who was reportedly knocked down by a motorcycle rider at Kalpane in Kulshekar under Mangalore east police station limits on Saturday, died at Government Wenlock Hospital. A case has been registered.

Hilda D’ Souza (72), a resident of Bangrakulur, also injured in an accident on Tuesday, died at a private hospital here on Saturday. Ullal police have registered a case.

Two drown

Panambur police have found a body, identified as Harshavardhana (18), near the breakwater at Panambur. It is suspected that the victim must have accidentally fallen into the breakwater.

Sagara (10), resident of Hanapura in Badami taluk of Bagalkote district, accidentally slipped into a pond at Kowdur Kandavara village in Mangalore taluk and died.
