Probe into woman’s death

TAMBARAM: An investigation by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu, has been ordered into the death of a 21-year-old woman in Vengaivaasal near Tambaram.

Anitha, 21, was found hanging at her house on Gangai Amman Koil Street , Vengaivaasal near Tambaram on Sunday evening.

Her father, Jagannathan, complained to the Selaiyur police that her daughter resorted to the extreme step as she was unable to bear the alleged dowry-related harassment from the relatives of her husband.

The couple had a son, who is in Lower Kindergarten, police said.
