FOR BETTER EDUCATION: A Principals’ Meet organised by the Divyam Academy of Values in the city on Saturday. – COIMBATORE: Divyam Academy of Values, functioning under the aegis of the Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP) Limited group, launched its education service division – Divyam Educational Services – here on Saturday. SchoolsThe service centre that was launched by the pharmacy Managing Director, P.R. Krishna Kumar, will reach out to as many schools as possible to strengthen education in a creative manner. “Its activities will be three-pronged focussing on teachers, students and parents. It will help overcome the pressure of syllabus and offer other such services. A core group of educators will share, evaluate and promote growth in education,” said Hemalatha Ramesh, Coordinator of the services. Some of the regular activities of the centre would include interactive meet for educators like teachers, principals, etc., workshop for students for developing communication skills, theatre, career guidance for higher secondary students, screening of value-based movies, etc. It would also aid in setting up language laboratories, retreats, scrabble competitions, sloka classes and such other events. FeeMembership fee for schools would be Rs. 500 a year. Separate charges would be collected for service rendered on request. Director of the service centre J. Geetha, and Head Hema Ravikrishnan, spoke.
