No anthrax in State, says Minister
CUDDALORE: Health Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam has categorically stated that none was affected by anthrax in Tamil Nadu.
Responding to a report in a section of the press that a 11-year old girl at Sholingar in Vellore district had contracted anthrax, the Minister in a statement here said that the girl had a swelling in her left hand due to an injury and she was getting treatment in the Christian Medical College Hospital.
Animal Husbandry Department had been administering vaccine to cattle heads, he said. — Special Correspondent
