Missing children reunited
Staff Reporter
TIRUCHI: A 13-year-old girl and her younger brother, who went missing from their home at Tiruvottiyur in Chennai, were traced here and handed over to their parents on Sunday. Keerthana, a sixth standard student and her brother, Girish Kanna (10), children of television actor R. Vijayaraman, had left their home reportedly due to domestic problems, police sources here said.
The children are said to have informed one Kamaraj, working in a tea stall opposite their house in Chennai, about the problems in their house and reportedly asked him to put them in a home. On hearing their plight, Kamaraj brought the children to his native village near Kolathur in Pudukottai district a few days ago.
In the meantime, the Tiruvottiyur police registered a case on a complaint from Vijayaraman that his children were missing.
The sources said Paneerselvam, a relative of Kamaraj, brought the children to his friend’s house at Mannarpuram in the city and later informed their parents.
