“Remove unauthorised hoardings”

Special Correspondent

TIRUCHI: The Deccan Consumer Rights Protection Council has urged the district administration to order the removal of all unauthorised hoardings in the city immediately.

The Council condemned the erection of a couple of hoardings obstructing the view of the historic Main Guard Gate.

The Council members would resort to an agitation if the hoardings in front of the Gate were not removed within a week, its secretary Bharatha Raja said in a statement issued here.

He also appealed to political parties to desist from putting up hoardings in public places.

The district administration should initiate criminal action against those violating the orders and remove the hoardings, he added.
