Manjira water for Medak town soon

Sangareddy: Medak municipal in charge commissioner Sudarshan Reddy in a press release here on Sunday informed that Manjira water to the town would be released in the month of March just in time for the summer season. The project was initiated at the time of Medak MLA and former minister Karanam Ramachandra Rao who got Rs 4.40 crore sanctioned for the project from HUDCO.
The project to pump water to the town from Manjira at Rayalamdugu village began immediately and the project is said to be complete now. Public health department was entrusted with building of over head tanks and network of pipelines.
The work is in progress in 27,14,2 and 7 wards while work is yet to begin in the Rasheed and Fatehnagar colonies.
