PUDUCHERRY: Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry V. Vaithilingam on Saturday allayed apprehensions of prevalence of avian flu in the Union Territory. In a release here, he said the Southern Regional Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in Bangalore, which had tested blood samples, said the birds were not infected. The administration had taken steps to prevent incidences of avian flue .
