Difficult to look beyond PSCB

PANAJI: The test is over and the results are out. The worthy qualifiers, each of whom had to go through gruelling sessions on Sunday, were identified for the main draw competition which will get underway after the two-day inter-State matches in the senior National badminton championship starting on Monday. The success of two junior pairs was the highlight of the men’s doubles event. R.M.V. Guru Sai Dutt and K. Tarun (AP) and Arun Nandaluri (AI) and Anil Kumar Raju (AP) qualified for the main phase.

The focus now shifts to the inter-State competition where it is difficult to look beyond PSCB. Comprising the best Indian talent in both the men’s and women’s sections, PSCB is virtually the National team.
