Some roads need immediate attention

 Sir, — Roads at Rustom Bagh Layout in Ward 73 of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) are in a pathetic condition. They have not been repaired for long despite promises by the palike. People of the area are having a tough time in reaching their destinations because of this. The main road is narrow and traffic snarls are a common feature. The BBMP should take action at the earliest.

 Sir, — The Bangalore Metropolitian Transport Corporation (BMTC) has cancelled route no 340 N from Parangipalya Junction to Majestic Bus Stand via H.S.R. Layout and Koramangala. This decision of the BMTC has affected many commuters from Sector 2 of H.S.R. Layout travelling to the Majestic area. The BMTC authorities should consider the plight of commuters and reintroduce the bus service. The authorities should consider the opinion of the commuters before cancelling any bus service.

 Sir, — A large number of students aspiring for engineering seats are in a fix now as the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be held on April 19, 2008, is clashing with the entrance examinations conducted by various universities and institutions. As the Karnataka CET date cannot be changed, the authorities of other universities and institutions should consider the interests of the students and reschedule their entrance test dates.
