Soundarya Lahari chanting

BANGALORE: Over 15,000 devotees chanted Adi Sankaracharya’s “Soundarya Lahari” in chorus at the Palace Grounds here on Sunday. The event was organised by Vedanta Bharati.

Women, who belonged to several organisations in and around Bangalore, chanted the 100–verse Soundarya Lahari in three hours.

The organisers had distributed books containing the verses.

Sri Avimuktheshwarananda Saraswathi Swami of Srividya Math, Kedar Ghat in Varanasi, addressed the devotees.

Sri Shankara Bharathi Swamiji of Yadathore Sri Yoganandeshwara Saraswath Math spoke.
