Events to suit every palate
Staff Reporter
IIMB’s annual cultural festival starts on February 1
BANGALORE: Unmaad, which claims to be biggest B-school cultural festival in India attracting 700 participants from 400 colleges around the country — not to mention some of the big names as media and sponsorship partners — is on from February 1 to February 3.
For those wired into the scene, this year there are events galore to suit every palate — whether you have a taste for music, like to dabble in the arts, have feet that won’t stop dancing, love to battle with words or have a killer aim with the camera.
There are prizes worth Rs. 7 lakh in cash, with goodly sums to be won for AmRock, a rock competition for amateurs, fashion show, dance, and the race to be Mr. and Ms. Unmaad, of course. The colleges to win the most number of events or points will take a shot at being the Unmaad champions.
The event will also see professionals, this time rock bands, Mother Jane and Zero, which will enthral the head bangers on Friday. Strings and Mrigya will play to the crowds on Saturday as part of the Unity concert which brings together a Indian and a Pakistani band.
