Two die, 27 injured in accident

VILLUPURAM: Two persons died and 27 others sustained injuries when a private bus collided with a lorry at Keeranur canal near Kallakurichi on Monday.

The deceased were identified as lorry driver B.Chandran (38) of Thinapatti in Udhagamandalam and a bus passenger M.Pattammal (55) of Thandalai. Of the injured 20 have been admitted to the Kallakurichi government hospital and seven have been referred to the Puducherry and Salem hospitals.
