Aligarh: Noted historian Irfan Habib was on Monday felicitated by a society here for his appointment at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as Professor Emeritus. At a function here, the Aligarh Historian’s Society lauded Habib’s achievements in the study of medieval Indian history in the country. The AMU’s executive council, last week, had ratified the varsity’s decision to grant the Professor Emeritus to Habib for his life-long contribution in history.
