Sale of cement bags at concessional rate begins

BUILDS HOPES: Collector Anil Meshram inaugurating the sale in Perambalur.

PUDUKOTTAI: In Pudukottai, the Collector D. Uthirakkumaran on Monday inaugurated the sale of cement at concessional rates at the TNCSC godown here.

He said that about 100 tonnes of cement had been stocked at the godowns in Alankudi, Aranthangi, Tirumayam, Pudukottai, Gandarvakottai, Kulathur and Avudaiyarkovil.

The Regional Manager, TNCSC, T. Lourduraj was among those who were present.

Perambalur

Sale of cement at concessional rates to benefit the economically weaker sections constructing buildings, commenced in Perambalur, Pudukottai and Ariyalur districts.

The Perambalur Collector Anil Meshram inaugurated the sale at the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC) godown here.

He said that those constructing buildings approved on or after July 1, 2007 would be eligiblefor the allotment of cement at concessional rates.

Ariyalur

The Collector V. M. Xavier Chrisso Nayagam distributed 480 bags of cement to concessional rates to six builders belonging to the economically weaker sections and middle-income group, at the TNCSC godown here. The MLA D. Amaramoorthy spoke.
