PUDUCHERRY: Migrant labourers from Orissa, who were employed by a private industrial unit in the Mettupalayam Industrial Estate, left for their native places following a wage dispute. District Collector G. Theva Needhi Dhas said the dispute was settled after Sub-Collector (Revenue) Vijaykumar Baduri directed the unit to pay the salary arrears to the workers. Following complaints from the workers, Mr. Baduri was sent to inspect the unit on Saturday. During the course of enquiry he found that the workers had not been paid their salary properly. He directed the company to pay the wages and accordingly they paid the salary on Monday.
