Fourth phase of land distribution launched

VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Animal Husbandry M. Buddha Prasad on Monday launched the fourth phase of land distribution programme at Gajapathinagaram.
During the five-day programme, 4,003.75 acres will be distributed among 3,161 beneficiaries in the district. At Gajapathinagaram, he gave away title deeds and other documents for 241.63 acres to 261 beneficiaries who were identified earlier in four mandals in the Assembly constituency.
Addressing beneficiaries at the Government Junior College grounds, Mr. Prasad said that an extent of over 20,041 acres of land was distributed among 18,568 women in the four phases of the programme. He appealed to opposition parties to bury political affiliations and cooperate with the government for all-round development.
Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana said that any irregularities, as pointed out by Padala Aruna, TDP MLA, would be rectified.
The Minister said that the beneficiaries could mortgage the documents for receiving credit from bankers.
Stating that the government was committed to the welfare of the poor, he said that 104 mobile medical service similar to 108 EMRI service would be launched shortly for treating patients in villages. G. Srinivasulu Naidu and V.V. Rama Rao, MLCs, and others spoke.
