Revenue Divisional Commissioner (southern range) Satyabrata Sahu and KBK Administrator S. Rajalaxmi reviewing progress of Kalahandi district in Berhampur on Monday. BERHAMPUR: A two-day review meeting of developmental projects taken up in KBK districts was started at conference hall of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), southern division in the city on Monday. This meeting was presided by the additional chief secretary cum chief administrator for KBK region, Rajalaxmi. The RDC southern division, Satyabrata Sahu was also present at the meeting. On the first day the districts under review were Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir and Suvarnapur. The collector of Kalahandi, Pramod Patnaik and senior administrative officials of other districts briefed about the progress of different projects in their districts. Officials of all major sectors including power supply, rural water supply, irrigation were of these areas were also present. Ms. Rajalaxmi stressed on the proper implementation of revised long term action plan for these underdeveloped areas of the State. She also reviewed the progress of the Biju KBK Yojana implemented in the KBK region by the State Government last year. The officials were advised to see to it that all grants get spent in the region totally within the stipulated time frame. They were asked to prepare annual reports on the progress of different projects taken up in the area and also to prepare reports on achievements of development in the KBK districts.
