Indian Climate Champions

VISAKHAPATNAM: British Council has launched the Indian Climate Champions 2008 to select 20 young Indians as ambassadors for mitigating the harmful effects of climate change. Three young champions will be selected as International Climate Champions 2008 to represent India at meetings in London and in Kobe, Japan. The Environment Ministers from the G 8 and five others countries will meet to discuss climate change. Children aged between 16 and 18 years are eligible to participate in the competition. Interested have to submit their application to the regional office of British Council. Details are available on website www.britishcouncil.org.in. The last date to submit entries is Feb. 4.
