Woman seriously injured in acid attack

RASIPURAM: A 22-year-old college student was seriously injured when acid was thrown on her face, allegedly by a rejected suitor, on Sunday. According to the police, Seema (22), daughter of a labourer, was bathing when Arumugam (25) threw the acid at her.

Her cries drew the attention of neighbours, who admitted her to Salem Government Medical College Hospital. Police said Seema was pursuing her final year B.A. at Rasipuram Government Arts College.
