dated January 22, 1958: Copyright Act

The Central Government have decided to enforce the Copyright Act, 1957, with effect from January 21, 1958. This has been announced in a notification published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary issued on January 29. The Government have also issued three other notifications, one relating to the Copyright Rules and the others extending the Copyright Act to some foreign countries and to certain international organisations.
