Mixed luck for Don Bosco

KOCHI: The host Don Bosco HSS had mixed luck in the Don Bosco all-Kerala inter-school hockey tournament which concluded at Vaduthala on Monday evening.

Don Bosco defeated St Albert’s HSS 1-0 and won the senior boys title but it lost the junior final, by a lone goal, to Kottayam’s CMS School. Don Bosco’s Akhil Alex (senior boys, fifth minute) and CMS’s Nikhil (juniors, 40th min.) scored the goals.

K.R. Sathish, Superintendent of Central Excise, gave away the prizes.

Best players: Jobin (juniors, CMS, Kottayam) & Ashilmon (seniors, St Albert’s, Ernakulam).
