Youth murdered by gang

TIRUPUR: A 34-year-old youth was murdered by a gang on the busy Municipal Office Road, in the heart of Tirupur, in broad day light on Monday. The police identified the deceased as Dastageer, son of Arif, of Theeran Nagar in Tiruchi.

He was on a conditional bail in a murder case.

The motorbike-borne gang intercepted him when he was proceeding to his work after affixing his signature at the Judicial Magistrate court here.

Police sources said that Dastageer had been residing here for over a month and was working in a petrol station. Tirupur south police registered a case.

Police said that the motive behind the murder could be enmity.

Investigations are on to nab the gang.
