BANGALORE: A woman journalist in assistance with the police has exposed a male prostitution racket being run in the city in the guise of massage centre. The police have arrested two persons and are searching for a third. The journalist called the mobile number given in an advertisement stating about “Crazy Escort and Massage Service and party get together total entertainment.” The call was picked up a person called Paresh who said he was ready to offer the services of men from various cities. He said the charge was Rs. 5,000 for two hours and Rs. 10,000 for the whole night. The journalist asked for three males to which Paresh said someone would call her back. According to a press note issued by the city police, the journalist got a call from one Vinod who told her about availability of two men and asked her to which address they should be sent. He also asked her to pay Rs. 30,000 to one Venkatesh amongst them. On being tipped off, a team of Central Crime Branch police booked a room in a hotel in Majestic area and asked the journalist to call Vinod. The police arrested the two men when they turned up. They identified themselves as Balaji (38) of Kodihalli and Venkatesh (40) of Muthyalanagar. The police are searching for Vinod, who reportedly threatened the journalist with dire consequences for taking police help. The police have recovered Rs. 23,500 in cash, two mobile phones and a car. A case has been registered with the Seshdripuram police station and the accused were produced before the jurisdictional magistrate court.
