Grape Escapade from Thursday

Special Correspondent

PANAJI: As many as 13 wineries and some star resorts will participate in the fourth edition of the Grape Escapade, the four-day annual wine and haute cousin festival, from Thursday.

The festival, which has over the years turned out to be one of the major attractions for tourists, wine connoisseurs and wineries, will be held at the Old Goa Medical College courtyard complex on the outskirts of the city.

Sanjith Rodrigues, managing director of Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., said here on Monday that wine tasting sessions by Chateau Indage would be held for invitees on all four days of the festival.

An added attraction this year would be “Grape Storm”, a demonstration where people would get to see how grapes are pressed to extract wine, he said.
