SFI activists held, freed
VIZIANAGARAM: The I Town police took district secretary of Students’ Federation of India V. Jagan Mohan and two others -- Raju and Anand -- when they were on way to ZP conference hall for submitting a memorandum to Minister for Social Welfare Pilli Subhas Chandra Bose on Tuesday.
In the memorandum they demanded that the government withdraw the restriction of 60 per cent marks for sanction of scholarships, outsourcing in welfare hostels, introduction of English medium in residential schools and CBSE syllabus in place of SSC. They were released later.
