Goddess fest peaceful

VIZIANAGARAM: Amidst unprecedented security arrangements the ‘Sirimanotsavam’ of goddess Sri Polamamba at Sambara in Makkuva mandal in the agency region of the district passed off peacefully on Tuesday.

Over a lakh devotees witnessed the utsav. The jaatara ended after the long ceremonial post on which chief priest Janni Trinadh mounted was taken in a procession through the village. APSTRC operated special buses from all the depots in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.
