PUDUCHERRY: Vice-president of Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) K. Lakshminarayan on Tuesday sought a probe into the alleged “house grabbing” incidents reported in Cassicade constituency, which he represents. Several incidents had surfaced in the recent past and the victims were threatened by anti-socials not to report the matter to the police, Mr. Lakshminarayan told reporters. He also said that he had collected vital documents relating to a house-grabbing incident in Kamatchi Amman Koil Street to prove the involvement of certain persons in the case. The PMC would launch an agitation if the government failed to take action against those involved in such cases, he said. MLA pleaIn a separate statement, PMC legislator N. Anandu urged the government to take precautionary measures in view of reports relating to spread of Avian Flu in West Bengal.
