5,000 new power connections to be released

JAIPUR: Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam has decided to release 5,000 new agricultural power connections in the general category till March this year. This will clear the backlog of applications till March 1993.

Jaipur Discom Chairman and Managing Director R.G. Gupta said here on Tuesday that 2,000 of the new connections would be given during January. The discom has set the target of releasing 13,000 connections during the current financial year. Mr. Gupta said the demand notes had been issued to all the consumers who had applied for connections till March 1993.
