World social campaign

BANGALORE: A week-long World Social Campaign by the World Social Forum will be held in Bangalore from January 23 to January 30. This campaign will be held throughout the world this month. According to the organisers, it will take place in a series near Gandhi statue on M.G. Road at 6 p.m.

Vigils and demonstrations will be held on different aspects such as socioeconomic rights, Dalits, human rights, labour, urban, land and water, global freedom and children and youth, said Philip Mathews, spokesperson for the organisers. A street play and a rally have been organised to condemn global human rights violations in China .
