Staff Reporter
Sangareddy: Medak district Collector B.Venkatesam called upon the headmasters of government schools in the district to strive to improve the position of the district in literacy.
Addressing a workshop on SSC examinations of head masters here on Tuesday, the Collector said that the district which stood at 21st position in the State with regard to literacy must move up the ladder to reach 10th position.
He asked the headmasters to teach the students on how to present their answer in a most appealing manner for better marks. He also advised them to organise special classes to the tenth class students in at least 100 centres of the 46 mandals in the district by pooling subject experts.
He announced that financial assistance could be provided to purchase audio-visual equipment to few schools so that more students could be taught in short time.
The Collector then handed over specially designed SSC study material in Urdu to headmasters of Urdu schools of Jogipet, Dakur, Gajwel, Sangareddy and Narsapur.
