Amarinder, four others get bail
Ludhiana: There was relief for former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, his son, son-in-law and two others as a court here on Tuesday granted them bail in the multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre scandal that rocked the State Assembly last year.
District and Sessions Judge G. K. Rai granted bail to Cap. Singh’s son Raninder Singh, son-in-law Raminder Singh, former Local Bodies Minister Jagjit Singh and Ashwajit, managing director of Infrastructure Private Ltd., New Delhi, with a direction that they should furnish a personal surety bond of Rs five lakh each.
The five had moved the local court seeking bail. All of them were present in the court on Tuesday. Earlier, the court on January 10 had stayed their arrest till January 22. PTI
