dated January 23, 1958: Peace Council’s appeal

The All-India Peace Council in a statement issued in New Delhi on January 21 has appealed to all parties and organisations to observe a “summit conference fortnight” from February 9 to 23 “to draw attention to the earnest desire of the Indian people for immediate negotiations between Heads of States to save the world from the grave peril of nuclear war which hangs over all humanity today.”
