Entries invited

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has invited entries from ayurveda doctors for the Dhanwantari Puraskaram for the best doctor of the State; Athreya Puraskaram for the best teacher; Charaka Puraskaram for the best government doctor; and Vaghbada Puraskaram for the best private doctor. The awards consist of a purse of Rs.10,000 and plaque. The application forms are available at the offices of the District Medical Officers (Indian System of Medicines) and at ayurveda colleges. The last date for submitting applications is January 31. Details can be had from the Arogya Bhavan at Puthenchantha in Thiruvananthapuram. — Special Correspondent
