Corrections and clarifications

Air Chief Marshal L.M. Katre was Chairman of HAL from February 8, 1983 to September 3, 1984. He became Chief of the Indian Air Force on September 4, 1984 and held the post till his sudden death on July 1, 1985. The report, “Potential for indigenous aircraft production: Kalam” (January 20, 2008) wrongly stated, “After an illustrious career in the IAF he held the post of HAL Chairman.”
