Bishop Cotton posts win

Bangalore: Bishop Cotton Boy’s School defeated Presidency School RT Nagar by 120 runs in a B.T. Ramaiah Shield under-15 cricket tournament semifinal that concluded here on Tuesday.

Chasing 257, Presidency School mustered 137 while Sanchith Sharma bagged four wickets. Earlier Sanchith had scored a 50 to help Bishop Cottons score 163 in its second innings. In the other semi-final, St. Joseph’s Indian High School (SJIHS) defeated St. Joseph’s Boys High School (SJBHS) by ten wickets.

The scores (semi-finals): Bishop Cotton Boy’s School 231 in 50.5 overs and 163 in 29.4 overs (Sanchith Sharma 50, Sajeel Anees 41, V. Abhishek six for 38) bt Presidency School, RT Nagar 137 in 40.4 overs and 137 in 20.1 overs (Mandeep Singh 62, Sanchith Sharma four for 31).

SJBHS 159 in 50.4 overs and 107 in 25.4 overs (Nirmal 43, K. Vamseedhar six for 34, Siddharth Urala four for 43) lost to SJIHS 218 in 53 overs (Santosh Gowda 60) and 52 for no loss in 7.5 overs.

I.I.Sc-TFC match drawn

Indian Institute of Science (I.I.Sc) held Thamaraikannan Football Club (TFC) to a 1-1 draw in a State ‘C’ division football league match at the I.I.Sc Ground here on Tuesday evening. TFC moved ahead through Vinod Kumar’s 15th minute goal and later Urs Raj equalised for I.I.Sc in the 23rd minute.
