Government urged to help restore High Court Bench

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President of District Congress Committee (DCC) V.S. Sivakumar has urged the State government to play a pro-active role in restoring the High Court Bench in the Capital City.

He was speaking here at meeting convened in connection with a dharna that the party is planning organise in front of the Secretariat on Friday.

Mr. Sivakumar pointed out that the UDF government led by former Chief Minister A.K. Antony, who is now the Defence Minister, had initiated a steps for the constitution of the High Court Bench.

The State government should also seek the assistance of Union Ministers and the Members of Parliament in this regard, he said.
