50 dead chickens discarded

KANCHEEPURAM: Around 50 dead chickens were found discarded near a burial ground in Kancheepuram on Saturday evening.

On receiving information, Municipal Health officials went to the spot and buried the dead chickens after sending a few of the dead birds for post-mortem to the veterinary hospital in the town.

A thorough examination of the dead birds revealed that they had not died of bird flu, but owing to an excessive bleeding, sources said.
