Jerome, Abirami in lead

CHENNAI: Jerome Jorge Ebenezer of Chennai and R. Abirami of Tiruchi are in sole lead with six points each in the boys’ and girls’ sections respectively at the end of the six round of the Victory Educational Trust 21st Tamil Nadu State under–9 chess championshiphere on Tuesday.

Children’s chess

Future Stars scores win

Future Stars defeated Kedar CA by five wickets in the Prahlad CA under-10 cricket tournament here recently.

The scores:

Kedar CA 83 for five in 25 overs (Rishi K. Narayanan 39 not out) lost to Future Stars 88 for five in 21.5 overs.

Little Hearts CA 94 for seven in 25 overs lost to Kanniah CA 95 for six in 19 overs (R. Sunder 28 not out).
