Rehabilitation fund

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Tuesday handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 crore to the Central Relief Committee (CRC) towards the beggary rehabilitation fund. Though the civic body collects three per cent of property tax annually as beggary cess for the rehabilitation of beggars and owes more than Rs. 31 crore to the CRC, it has deposited only Rs. 10 crore in the last one year.
