Four criminals arrested

NEW DELHI: Four alleged criminals carrying a reward of Rs.2.5 lakh have been arrested by the Special Operation Squad (SOS) of the Delhi police. The police claim to have seized five firearms including a U.S.-make carbine from them.

The SOS received a tip-off that a wanted criminal named Mainpal and his accomplices were planning to eliminate his rival Jasbir and would pass by Chhawla Canal at Najafgarh in a Santro car on Monday. Subsequently a trap was laid and the vehicle was intercepted.

The team claims to have seized four firearms of foreign make and a double-barrel gun from the accused, identified as Mainpal, Vikram, Praveen and Rajesh Gulia.
