Indian worker found dead

Dubai: A 54-year-old Indian worker was found dead in his room here on Saturday, the police said. Chandran Pillay was found hanging from the ceiling of his room at a labour camp in Jebel Ali. The police said Pillay seemed to have hanged himself after locking himself up in the room. A preliminary investigation on the cause of his death is being carried out by the Dubai Police. A roommate of Pillay has reportedly told the police that on Friday evening they had dinner together along with two other colleagues and that he seemed to be perfectly normal on that day. — PTI
