Four killed in road accident
DAVANGERE: Four people were killed on the spot and several injured when the KSRTC bus in which they were travelling rammed a roadside tree near Nanditavare village in Harihar taluk on Wednesday. The police gave the names of the dead as Suresh (40), Ismail (21), Rohit Pawar (12) and Likith Pawar (14). According to the police, the condition of the three injured persons is critical. Sathish Pawar, a mechanic in KSRTC, who was also injured, lost his two sons, Rohit and Likith, in the accident. All the injured are being treated at the Chigateri general hospital.
Senior police officers visited the spot. A case has been registered in Malebennur police station. — Staff Correspondent
