PUDUCHERRY: The Bill to convert JIPMER into an autonomous body will be introduced in the coming session of Parliament, Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said here on Wednesday. Speaking after inaugurating new facilities at JIPMER, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said he was confident that the institute would become an autonomous body. Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said conferring autonomy would not alter the status of free treatment given to the patients.
