Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Leaders of various hues from Rayalaseema have asserted that they would demand self-rule and a package of compensation to the region if separate Telangana became inevitable.

They wanted a committee of experts to determine assets and liabilities region-wise as they existed currently and when the State was formed in 1956. The panel should submit its report by December and justice done to Rayalaseema to compensate for the loss the region suffered over 50 years, former MLA and leader of Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika T.G. Venkatesh said here on Thursday. They released resolutions adopted at their meetings in the last few days.
