Corrections and clarifications

The domestic equity market on Wednesday regained 864 points as stated in the Page 1 report (“Domestic equity market recovers,” January 24, 2008). A wrong figure of 931 was mentioned in the editorial (“In uncharted waters”) the same day.

“The sources pointed out that France had consistently advocated against India’s exclusion from global nuclear commerce for fighting global warming.” In the published report (“Pact with France only after NSG clearance,” January 22, 2008) the word against was missing.

ICF is Integral Coach Factory and not Integrated Coach Factory (“Regal Rajasthan will chug along from November,” Chennai, January 23, 2008).

TERI, of which R.K. Pachauri is Director-General, is The Energy and Resources Institute and not Tata Energy and Resources Institute (“Strengthen public transport: Pachauri,” January 11, 2008). This correction is appearing in this column for the third time. The earlier ones were on July 19, 2006 and May 12, 2007).
