The list gets longer
Is it mere double talk keeping the next elections in view or the sincere aspirations of a politician who wants to do good to society? There could be a marathon debate on the string of promises made by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu in Warangal recently. The sops ranged from free domestic power supply to giving away three grams of gold to poor in case of a marriage. The 90-minute-long speech was interspersed with so many promises, that none of the newspapers published the complete list. It remains to be seen whether the ruling party too would come out with such a long list of sops. People have not yet forgotten the recent ‘promise-race’ between Naidu and YSR and the challenges about who should take a patent on the promises being made.
